Dundee Council has more electric cars than any other local authority in the United Kingdom. With 38 environmentally friendly vehicles being used by the Council, they are top of the tables in comparison to other local authorities.

In second place in South Lanarkshire Council with 24 vehicles. According to a report by Intelligent Car Leasing, the UK Government has a total of 531 electric cars.
In October 2014 Dundee Council announced plans to expand their use of electric cars. Environment Convener Craig Melville commended the move, saying “This is another important step in our commitment to environmentally-friendly transport”.
